Bookmarker's Notes
Woooo this is a trope I go absolutely wild for! Any kind of story where one person is afraid of being hurt, but then they’re treated really well instead, and features growing trust and affection… that’s the good stuff! So delighted to add this one to my little collection.
The writing is really compelling. Looking back, now I wonder if the woman in the beginning was being sincere when she offered to trade places for the marriage, or if she was sent by Apexium as a last-ditch attempt to maneuver a spy into the position?
I like both the characters, and their dynamic. The battle sim was really fun. Ivonsharrel’s lack of self-confidence, and Nicul’s insistent compliments, especially that whole frantic paragraph towards the end of the sex scene, whew!! The whole name convo was great, for both Rashborne and Druken. Finally, the full unfurling of Nicul’s dream for their future… what a truly satisfying ending ♥️
