“Oh man, we should all go! Family road trip! Remember when we’d go to New York with Mom and Dad?” Matthew’s voice was a careful balance of wistful, nostalgic, and optimistic, and it had an immediate effect on the older Lynches.
As the two of them exchanged wary looks, Matthew threw Adam a conspiratorial wink and Adam realized Matthew knew exactly what he was doing. Maybe, Adam mused, Matthew had gotten more from Niall than just boxing lessons and a life of secrets.

Summary
The Lynch brothers were a myth, or so Adam had thought. Talk of these particular brothers arose just before Christmas time, the walls of St. Agnes echoing their names: Declan, Ronan, and Matthew, their ages spiraling down in that respective order.
The Lynch brothers do Christmas caroling together to uphold the brotherly bond after their parents passed away. It so happens to be that Adam lives at the church they frequent at. The Myth of the Brothers Lynch become a reality when Adam finally meets the middle one.
