Summary
Sam should know better than to trust a Pagan. He should definitely know better than to trust the Pagan God of Lies, especially when said god is the same one who once trapped him in a hellish time loop for months on end. Unfortunately, without Dean at his side for running on four years now and the last chapter of the apocalypse drawing closer every day, he doesn't have room to be picky.

Summary
Sam wakes up to discover that he’s just spent the last two years as Lucifer’s vessel. During that time, the Croatoan virus has ravaged the world just as much as the armies of Heaven and Hell. Suddenly free of his captor, he’s dismayed to find that his rescuer is none other than a resurrected Ruby. Feelings of betrayal and a mountain of trust issues must take a backseat as they have to work together to survive in the post-apocalyptic world—coping with the fall of civilization, enduring the elements, evading Croats, and running from the forces of both Lucifer and Michael—in order to protect Lucifer’s newborn daughter. Summary
Sam finishes the trials, expecting to die. Instead, he gets a life that sounds idyllic - the demons locked away, the angels gone (mostly), and Dean by his side.
All he has to worry about is the various monsters attempting to fill the power vacuum; a too-empty bunker; his own deteriorating mental health; Dean’s dive back into alcoholism; and not getting enough sleep (even for him). Oh yeah, and that pesky fact that his dreams are starting to seem a little bit too much like visions. He can handle it. He can.
(Sometimes he can’t.)
If this is healing, Sam sure doesn’t want to know what deterioration looks like.

Summary
Sam Winchester was a warlock of honor, and he was one of the most powerful sorcerers the world had ever seen. He would never ask for something someone couldn’t spare to give, but the good people of the village he could see from the top of his tower failed him. They were unable to pay him the promised tribute; refusing to pay for his protection as they could keep themselves safe, or so they thought.
It was time to teach them a lesson that there was a reason why the big nasty things roaming the night never set foot into the valley in which the shadow of Sam’s tower fell. No one wanted to ignite the wrath of the warlock protecting the valley and everything that lives there. Yet, his protection came with a price which should always be paid.

Summary
Ten thousand years in the past, Gabriel ends up in the La Brea Tar Pits, and the man carrying Sam Winchester’s soul at the time pulls him out. Sam/Sahale, the shaman of a local tribe headed by his brother Dasan, tries to persuade the villagers to take Gabriel in--to no avail, and, ultimately, to their own detriment as Sam leaves with the archangel. Beta’d by @ilikaicalie and my artist @nathyfaith from Tumblr; any mistakes left are my fault. Especially if they happened to miss one of the many times I wrote 'Charlie' instead of 'Cha'r.' Sorry about that, ladies.
This is my Sam Winchester Big Bang submission. A big thank you to the organizers, especially @themegalosaurus, my artist, @nathyfaith, my beta, @ilikaicalie, and the other writers who kept me (mostly) sane as I wrote.
