Summary
The WillMack Show™ continues.
Episode two of the Sharks’ behind‑the‑scenes documentary follows the team through a chaotic road trip where Mack and Will try (and fail) to stay out of the cameras’ spotlight.
Long bus rides, practices, meals, game day nerves, and a whole lot of accidental closeness make it clear that hiding is impossible when they’re never more than an arm’s length apart.
***
This is the second part of a two‑episode story, but you can absolutely read it on its own. I wrote it to stand alone so you won't lose too much context.
It is however a slightly better story if you read the first part before.

Summary
The Sharks: Behind the Scenes was supposed to be about the team.
Instead, it accidentally becomes the WillMack Show™.The documentary crew films two days of travel, practice, and game prep, and somehow captures every single moment Mack and Will forget to act like normal teammates.
When the episode airs, the team loses their minds, Mack and Will panic, and a handful of very unfortunate scenes make them finally see themselves the way everyone else always has.

Summary
Not wanting to look at who’d been calling him, he opened messages first. The most recent one, sent an hour ago, was from Sid. The start of the message reads “Just wanted to say that I’ve got your back…” before cutting off in the preview of the messages' opening page.
“Oh my god, people actually think we're gay. Sidney Crosby thinks I’m gay.” Mack could not believe it, so he just looked at Will in disbelief. How had something so innocent gotten blown so far out of proportion. Was the internet so desperate after Heated Rivalry for some actual gay hockey players that they had fit Mack and Will into their narrative?
- basically the internet is conviced that WillMack is real and to avoid mass public outcry they have to go along with it

Summary
The thing is, Will’s still into women. Mostly. He’s dated girls, fooled around with them, and then some (he’s Catholic, but he’s still an athlete, still has needs, so his sins just wind up getting washed away at the back of a church confessional).
It’s just…when your best friend’s a supernova, a bright flash in the dark sky of a rocky NHL franchise history, you get blinded by the light, sucked into his orbit.
It’s natural, really.

Summary
"Hey, Mack. I think I'm going to head home already." He says shifting on the bed to seem like he's about to get up. He'd expect Mack to ignore him and continue with his game, having to probably repeat himself again but he didn't.
Mack pulls the headset off and his hand clasps around Will's ankle. "What?"
OR

Summary
The diagnosis took 10 years. 10 years of unknowns, constant pain, and being told to push through it.
It all seems like too much for Macklin, especially when he hides the pain. Macklin refuses to be seen as weak; what the team doesn't know won't hurt them. Will especially doesn't need to know what goes on in Macklin's mind.
MAJOR TRIGGER WARNING: Depictions of self-harm and eating disorders. I will specify in the notes if the chapter contain graphic depictions as well as in the text using "***************" before and after the scene if you choose to skip it.

Summary
Every night, Macklin prays for Will to be safe, healthy, happy, loved, and content in his life.
Macklin prays that Will will never face the haunting uncertainty of whether an injury could threaten his career, or whether he would still be able to continue playing the sport he loves.
If there is one thing that Macklin and Will have in common; it’s their love for the game.
He knows—god, he knows—how they both get. They push, shove, bite, and fight other people because of how badly they want to win.
They want to win so bad they forget to breathe.
He prays for it every night. Victory.
And Macklin wants them to win and come out unscathed.
But they don’t.
