Summary
“If you had some terminal disease and you only had months to live, you wouldn’t only tell some people but hide it from me, right?” Gaby says as she leans a little closer to him.
Nope, that didn’t really help. Napoleon’s brow furrows and he tips his head at her in confusion. “…No? Is this some kind of strange philosophical game, or does this line of questioning have a point?”
“Illya’s been extra nice to you lately,” she accuses, like he has anything to do with it.
(Illya's always been a considerate partner, but when he starts doing even more nice things for Napoleon, it's a little confusing. And distressing, given how Napoleon is sure that he definitely doesn't mean it like that.)

Summary
Casual was good. Casual was easier. Easier than being honest. Easier for Napoleon than admitting he was homesick for people rather than a place.
(Or, a road trip is taken despite the author's poor grasp of American geography, a relationship is very messily carved out of the space between three people, and there's a dog.)

Summary
They get a story for each one they ask about, ranging from mundane to horrifying, but the one on his temple just gets them silence and a refusal to meet their eyes in what Napoleon can only interpret as embarrassment.
Considering Illya’s general state, one scar more or less shouldn’t make a difference for him – or for Napoleon, for that matter.
But it does.
Solo and Gaby are on a personal mission to stop Illya from acquiring more scars. Discoveries are made.

There is nothing here.
If there were ever a sign to make a person suspect that there was something interesting on the other side of a locked door, it would be that one. Naturally, Solo steals it. He doesn't seem to appreciate the irony, but Illya does. Gaby, too, apparently, since she's the one who dared him to.

“We had, uh,” Napoleon paused in a way that meant he was about to imply something impolite and he wanted to be sure his audience knew it was impolite. “Similar interests.”
That only ever meant one thing, and Illya hated to pretend that it didn’t. “Beautiful women.”
“Beautiful men,” Napoleon corrected.

Napoleon’s partners are perfect for each other. That is beautiful, romantic, and kind of a problem, because it just so happens that Napoleon has caught extremely inconvenient feelings for the both of them.
Or Napoleon’s various attempts at matchmaking and how they end in surprisingly less misery than he would have thought. -

Summary
Illya was the best KGB agent in three years but also one of the best agents UNCLE had ever managed to recruit. A simple solo mission should not be too difficult.
So why was Napoleon on a rescue mission now for the KGB's best? Because even secret agents are human and make mistakes.
But nobody had told Napoleon today that big mistakes could become something very small.
