'Coldheats' or survival heats are something that can happen to omega's who have been left to fend for themselves for too long. It presents more or less like a stomach bug but can have severe medical consequences and complications when left untreated.
Tommy, who has been burned enough by this shit-hole of an unforgiving world, would take a coldheat over a regular heat any day. Unluckily for him, his best friends worry too much and disagree.
And so, one stubborn omega has to learn to let people love him.

The grip around his wrists was strong as steel, though, and he could find no give at all. Tubbo rocked his hips again, harder, starting up a steady rhythm. “Though I could always make you wait. Thankfully, Tommy still found it within himself to glare. “I’m not begging for you, if that’s what you’re asking.”

Tubbo has always known that he wouldn’t be marrying for love.
He was a prince, for one, third in line for the throne for another, so it’s not like he would ever be getting the privilege of choosing even among other royals who he would marry. He’s too valuable to be allowed to choose among some pool of nobles and not valuable enough to be making any kind of decisions. He’s a pawn, a bargaining chip to be married off to the kingdom that makes the best offer.
In a conversation that is basically totally unrelated to the above discussion, Tubbo’s family is dead now. Poisoning. Tubbo is lucky that he’s a picky eater, otherwise he might have eaten more of the soup.
These two totally unrelated parts of Tubbo’s life have come together in this moment, when Tubbo is finally able to make decisions for himself. Like this...

His sharp claws dug deep into the soft skin, Techno growled lowly at the sight, his pointy ears pinned back.
Tommy was thrown roughly to the floor, the obsidian did nothing to soften his fall. The warden let out a hiss and a growl before disappearing behind the wall of lava.
Tommy had quickly scrambled to a far corner, tucking his head between his knees as he shook and tried to steady his breathing, which only grew worse by the second.
