He curled one of his arms around his head, pulling the pillow closer, and then grumbled as it was abruptly pulled away. He turned towards the disturbance, ready to use his reputation as the poor injured Boy-Who-Lived to guilt the Healers into letting him sleep a little longer.
But he stopped when he met the eyes of the person who sat on the chair next to the bed.
“You’re not Healer Pearson,” Harry said, a little stupidly.
Draco Malfoy smiled. His teeth seemed longer than a normal human’s, which they might be, for all Harry knew. His hair was a glittering storm of silver and white radiance that looked fringed near his neck, as if it ended in feathers. He had long, delicate claws on his fingernails that resembled spears of light. His face was—well, stunningly beautiful, but Harry had got used to that from seeing it in pictures in the papers.
But no picture had ever shown him like this, as if he was on the verge of transforming.
“You’ve been hiding from me, Harry.”

Summary
Harry (being Harry) rescues a snake and takes it in. Further, Harry (being Harry) befriends and spoils it, and seemingly everyone but him is certain that something is awry. I mean, obviously they're correct-- Harry is in fact still Harry Potter.

If the snake was eating filet, so was he, dammit. He floo called up the place they’d all gone for Harry’s 21st birthday; the nicest wizarding steakhouse in London. Damnably, he started with his name because he figured that would help avoid issues with his strange request, even as it guaranteed the entire town would be talking about it very shortly.
“Hello, yes, hi. This is Mr. Harry Potter. Oh, yes, thank you, no, no, thank you, I was hoping you could help me with an odd takeaway order. I’d like please two 8-ounce filet mignons– one medium rare, one entirely raw. Yes, raw, so sorry, I know. It’s uh– a strange dietary request for a guest. May I also please have the house potatoes, vegetables, and whatever the best pudding is tonight? Err. Do you perhaps also have escargot? No? Oh, no worries, please, no, it was just an idle thought. Thank you, yes, please ring me when it’s ready, thanks everso.”

Summary
Harry can't stop watching him. It's starting to feel a bit like sixth year, except this time he's a grown man with classes to teach and no time to obsess about his favorite subject: Draco Malfoy. Unfortunately, Harry's pet Niffler keeps stealing things from Draco and only Draco, making it entirely impossible for Harry to avoid confronting that stupid smirking face he most assuredly doesn't want to kiss.

“Actually, Potter, I haven’t even begun to have my fun yet.”
“Oh, I’m Potter, now?”
“You are when you’re skulking about, cataloguing my habits like we’re sixteen all over again.” With a roll of his eyes, Draco stepped away from the wall and began to walk down the corridor, the precise click of his expensive shoes echoing in the hall as he called over his shoulder, “I’ll be in the Great Hall around six if you’d like to watch me dine whilst scribbling ‘ate several bites of roast and brussel sprouts at 6:02 PM’ in whatever unsettling Draco Malfoy-focused journal I know you have shoved in your pocket.”
“I don’t have a Malfoy journal!”
Draco swiveled around at that, facing Harry as he calmly slid both hands into his pockets.
“Sure you don’t, Harry.” And with a cheeky wink, he Disapparated. Harry cursed the day staff had been allowed to Apparate within the castle. Now he’d be looking over his shoulder for a smirking Draco Malfoy, eager to catch Harry in the act of… well, whatever this was.

Harry Potter was a thing bitter and cold, a child just a step away from obscurial status, despite being eighteen. Children like him, broken sharp little things with eyes too empty, never truly grow up. But can never be children.
Harry Potter is a paradox that shakes the Earth, that makes the Deep One's stir in their millennium slumber.
Harry decided that he would fix up the Perch, and he would turn it into a sanctuary. For those who cannot move on from the war, for those who are too damaged and scarred. For those still hunted. Harry won't discriminate, he will only open his arms and accept them like he needed someone to do when he was a child.
