“Perhaps,” the now familiar voice hummed, coming from the phone he’d stolen from a passing civilian. “Perhaps I may be of service to this mission.”
Hydra’s most prized weapon paused, peering down at the phone’s single port where he’d put the microchip in.
“Perhaps not,” the voice finally replied, taking the hint, and ejecting itself out.
(The helicarriers fall, and in the ensuing chaos the Winter Soldier snags a microchip that he knows contains an answer. An answer to what, exactly, he doesn't know, but he'll find out regardless. Too bad for him, someone - or something - hitches a ride, and suddenly the smooth, British voice won't leave him the damn hell alone.)

Summary
The Winter Soldier does not remember a time when he was not the Winter Soldier. He only remembers the Rules, the orders and the missions. As he works for the Americans, he watches and he learns. Slowly, the Americans become complacent and they start to make mistakes. Mistakes become habits, and soon the Soldier finds HYDRA’s control over him slipping. Eventually, he discovers the strength to make a decision. So he bides his time and waits for the perfect opportunity when a single choice could make a difference. That opportunity comes in the form of a trio of Director Fury’s most capable agents, and that choice ends up being to form an alliance to take down Project: Insight.

The Winter Soldier, or Yasha as he now prefers to be called, has broken the Rules. He has joined the Avengers and started to claw back pieces of himself while learning what it means to be free. Threats still remain and challenges are around every corner but with the help of the Avengers, Yasha finally has a chance to be more than the Winter Soldier, even if some stubborn remnants of HYDRA are determined to reclaim their Asset.

Summary
Harry Potter was very lonely. Yes, he had friends, a good job, and just finished his mastery in defense, but it was usually just him and his son all alone at night when everyone else had families and lives apart from them. When he learned by chance that he may actually have some living family, it should have been an easy decision to reach out to them. Unfortunately, nothing comes easily to Harry. Harry's biological father just had to be the most difficult person in the world to get a meeting to see, and the absolutely most suspicious when confronted with a paternity claim.
Tony Stark was very lonely. He and Pepper had recently broken up. His friends had betrayed him, and he was now forced to live with the very same people who had hurt him. He didn't think he could take one more blow and stay standing under it. Tony didn't have family; he didn't know what to do with family; too bad Tony's family wasn't sure what to do with him either, but they were going to give it a hell of a try anyway.
