Patchwork of the Soul
Heartbreaking, heartwarming, gut-wrenching despair, hope, attachment, desire.
Catharsis.
Whether it be oddly specific complexities or simple joys (or even both), this feeling remains the same.
No matter which memories stay or leave, they'll have left a mark on the soul regardless, right?
... I can only hope to achieve such beauty. No, I must strive for it as well.
The Patchwork of the Soul calls for new birth. Thus, I keep adding to it in the hopes of achieving that ever so elusive truth.

Summary
The Metaverse has always been a looming threat in humanity’s peripheral, claiming unsuspecting victims between the fringes of reality. At times, the nightmares that lurk beyond the blackened river can reach into the realm of the living - resulting in catastrophic monsters able to tear down cities and leave naught but death and suffering in their wake.
Shadows are the reason we look over our shoulders. Phantoms are the reason we have fear to begin with.
✧
In which Akira is an inhuman product of the Metaverse, fighting alongside human comrades for the sake of saving the innocent… even if it means being putting his neck out in a world that fears him so immensely, an entire nation wants him dead.

Summary
Once beyond our time, four outlanders fell from the grace of the worlds they held so dear - an angel, a traveler, a martyr, and a truth-seeker. Having their realities dulled by their pasts, their only way to truly survive in the City they've fallen into is to reconcile their perception of themselves with their true identities and to form meaningful bonds with each other in a society that actively rejects them.
~~
A retelling of Library of Ruina's core themes and story through the lenses of the Assistant Librarians, particularly focusing on a group of four in particular who have had their stories altered so deeply that they are no longer their original selves.
Or, at least, that's what the story hopes to be. -

"Akira, you know how Maruki brought back Okumura and Wakaba Isshiki?" There was a stiffness to his words, as if he'd been preparing to say this for minutes. Maybe even hours.
Akira nodded, still a little lost in deep red and freckles.
"They're not... the only ones Maruki brought back from the dead."
Akira blinked, spell broken. "Huh?"
"My mom." Akechi couldn't speak much louder than a whisper, eyes starting to water again. "He brought my mom back too."

What do you mean?” Ryuji tilted his head.
“It’s called Just Die. It reduces the SP needed for Insta kill skills like Mudoon or 'Please Die for Me' to zero.”
Ryuji and Ann blinked and blinked again trying to figure out what Morgana is trying to say. He watched as the gears churn in their head and they come to an epiphany, their faces growing horrified at the implications.
“Wait, you are saying. Joker can insta-kill literally everything in this palace. WITHOUT using SP at all?!” Ryuji clarified in astonishment because there is no way there isn’t a catch to this. “Without repercussion?!”
“Yes. That is exactly what I’m saying.”
Or the NG+ au where Akira knows more than he lets on, the Phantom Thieves start to suspect one of their own, and Akechi is in for a wild ride.
