OR: After Zhao’s failed siege, Zuko and Iroh are captured. A few weeks later, Ozai receives a ransom from the Northern Water Tribe signed in Zuko’s blood. Unfortunately for the Firelord, Zuko’s safety is all Azula cares about.

Summary
Dick… is aware. He’s aware that he’s not doing well. He’s aware that Tim isn’t doing well. Hell, he’s aware that Alfred isn’t doing well.
What with Bruce being… well…
He’s aware.
But, as he stares at his little brother telling him that Bruce is alive, he can’t help but feel anything but relief. In fact, he feels a lot of bad feelings about it, and then very quickly adds guilt to those bad feelings since he can’t think of anything positive to say.
Because he’s aware that he’s not well. And that Tim isn’t well. And that Alfred isn’t well.
But they weren’t well before Bruce died, either.

Eddie stands, stupefied, in the centre of his home and not a single possession is out of place. No furniture upturned, the windows still intact in their frames. Every photo and drawing and lamp still in one piece.
But there should be damage right? Catastrophic, irreversible damage.
It feels like there should be.
Because Eddie had just pulled out the pin and thrown a grenade into his life that had carelessly, brutally obliterated all his carefully controlled peace.
