New poster on here. Sorry if this is the wrong thread. But I don’t know who else to talk to about this.
Gosh this feels so weird to type, I’m literally on my friend’s dad’s computer at 3 am to make sure nobody else sees this and I’ve never said it aloud before but… I’m in love with my best friend (15M) who is dating my adopted sister (15F). I know it's not a good look. But I’ve known him since we were five and I’ve had a crush on him for years. He’s so smart and brave and funny. He always knows just what I need and never talks down to me when so many other people do just because they can. He stands up for me and our friends, always, no matter what. He believes in me in a way that nobody but my own mother does. I just… love him.

"W-what?" Will blurts out once he's regained his composure, his eyes blown wide and his hand shaking. Mike won't even look him in the eye but he contemplates running the boy to the bathroom because he's positively green.
Hopper groans softly, quiet enough not to startle them, and presses a hand to his face in stress. "Kid, I- I know. About you two."
This time Mike speaks, letting out a soft, "Oh." His eyes are burning holes in the sheets while he looks like he's about to cry and Hopper wants to run screaming because he hates emotions.

Mike never had many friends. He was always the loser who sat alone at his own lunch table, or was the last to partner up in gym class.
It didn’t particularly bother him, not until that moment in time, as he looked out the window and watched the trees blur together in one green smudge on a canvas. He tuned out his parents, who chatted idly as they drove further and further away from Hawkins.
It was then and there, that Mike Wheeler made the executive decision to change.
