Qualifier 1: Jin Zixuan Vrs. Romance - prequel featuring JZX's teenage determination to throw off the shackles of arranged marriage and be free.
Round 1: Jin Zixuan Vrs. Consequences - panicking JZX tries desperately to convince JYL to leave LXC for him.
Round 2: Jin Zixuan Vrs. Matchmaking - JZX magnanimously decides to help his new brothers-in-law with their own lacklustre love lives.
Round 3: Jin Zixuan Vrs. Marriage - JZX is getting married, and everything that could possibly go wrong does.
Round 4: Jin Zixuan Vrs. Virginity - JZX must consummate his marriage... only, he isn't actually quite sure how it works?
Like, he knows the basic idea; he just isn't really clear on the details. Eh, he'll figure it out.
How hard can it be?
Intermission 1: Lan Xichen Vrs. Honour - LXC marrying WQ to save WWX for LWJ - and to repent for not standing with the innocent Wens before.
Round 5: Jin Zixuan Vrs. Logic - JZX is struck by the astounding revelation that since his new wife sees WWX as her child, he is now a father. WWX does not agree.
Round 6: Jin Zixuan Vrs. Politics - someone attempts to poison JGY, only for the poison to accidently reach the wrong target - NMJ's precious little brother NHS. JZX has to try to keep war from breaking out, and his father from punishing his gege for not dying instead of letting this happen.
Round 7: Jin Zixuan Vrs. Integrity - JZX learns that his father intends to utilize a very immoral and unethical type of "get fucked or die" aphrodisiac on an unsuspecting girl at a party. He figure out a way to keep that from happening; his father's wishes be damned.
If the only way to do so is to drink it himself, then he intends to prove that WWX is not the only one capable of being noble and self-sacrificing. JYL has always been curious about pegging.
Qualifier 2: Jin Zixuan Vrs. Loyalty - JZX's friendship with MianMian through the years.
Round 8: Jin Zixuan Vrs. Filial Piety - JGS is dead, and his murderer is at large. JZX tries very hard not to be relieved.
Round 9: Jin Zixuan Vrs. Responsibility - JZX begins the arduous task of seeking out and legitimizing his various half-siblings. Things get complicated when people start trying to con him and he can't tell who actually shared the same daddy as him and who did not.
Round 10: Jin Zixuan Vrs. Privacy - JZX and JYL have very loud, enthusiastic sex, with lots of dirty talk. They forget that WWX and LWJ are sharing the room right next to theirs.
Two sequel oneshots included as second and third chapters, where after switching rooms the next day, WangXian end up next to LXC and his partner while the same thing happens. (One chapter is LXC/WQ, the other is the alternate pairing from the "Alternate Match" fic - LXC/JGY.)
Alternate Match: Jin Ziyao Vrs. Justice (or: "Who Stabbed Jin Guangshan?") Ft. JGY as Miss Marple/Hercule Poirot.
When JGS is stabbed to death during the Sunshot Campaign before he can ever legitimize MY, the newly dubbed Jin Ziyao is determined to solve the case - in between his time spent helping his overwhelmed half-brother run their Sect. He can't help being irritated by the fact that JZX seems so uninterested in catching their father's killer; even as he becomes more and more aware that JGS' death could honestly be considered a blessing for the entire world.
[I'm not 100% certain what "queerplatonic" actually means. I thought I knew - only to read a fic with it tagged; it was not what I thought.
So, I am going to clarify what I, personally mean when I use the term.
Most important to note, is that when I use it, it is completely non-sexual and non-romantic. Period. I use it for Aro/Ace relationships.
I use it because the relationships with WQ become close enough to be confused with lovers from the outside; they see each other as siblings. They also have children with her via surrogacy who call her A-Naing.
In the AU, WQ is the third parent of XiYao and WangXian's children; but she's less involved in the kids' lives. She's content to leave most of the child-rearing to the married couples; her life goals never really included children, other than an obligation.
Everyone is much happier this way.
Not having to be a primary caretaker means she likes them a lot more than she ever thought she would; this way she's still free to focus on her career and her research without the constraints of raising a family she never particularly wanted. She prefers being more of an aunt rather than actually having to be an actual mother.
She very, very much does not want a husband, EVER, thank-you-very-much.
