Summary
On average, it takes small steps to get to big moments. However, in Cloud's life, every major event has been a leap or a dive. He's never been one for building up. The thought alone of steadily walking towards an end — good or bad — deterred him. Frightened him, even. But not this time. This time, he was willing to walk the path set in front of him. With Vincent at the end, he knew that it would signify the start of many changes.
He knew he was ready.

Summary
The group has a somewhat regular practice of cleaning out their spaces just to get some semblance of a fresh start. Well, everyone but Vincent, that is. He's used to doing his own things while everyone takes to their rituals privately. But the solitude was first broken when Barret invited Marlene to come along, and it happened again when Cloud reached out and asked for Vincent to join him.
