With his hunter green locks glimmering in the light, sweat rolling down his temple, darkening the sleeve of his white tank top. He's yelling something that melds into the late August wind. The waves batter against the jutting stones in a lulling, pacific lilt. Sunghoon thinks he's ethereal.
This time. He squeezes his eyes shut. This time, he really hopes it's not a dream.

Heeseung must have stayed a little too silent, because the younger's eyebrows scrunch up in dismay. "Hyung?"
"Yes? Oh—Hoon, sorry, I—" Heeseung stumbles over his words, feeling heat creep up his neck as he stands up and walks over to Sunghoon, smile giddy. "I got lost in your hair again. God, it looks so good." His hands brush over Sunghoon's face before he plants a kiss square on his lips. "You look so good."
Or: Heeseung falls a little too hard for Sunghoon's new hair.

"Heeseung hyung!"
"Morning, sunshine. Sleep well?"
Sunghoon's smile turns giddy, heart jittering at the thought of the older making a call at this hour just to check on him. "Yes, I slept well. You?"
"Would've been better if you were there." Sunghoon mashes his face into his pillow. "Stop," he mumbles. "I wish I was there as well." His mind wanders to nights in Heeseung's arms, soft hands around his waist, lips pressed into his hair, snug under the covers while the faint buzz of the midnight city fills their ears. His heart twinges with want at the fantasy.
"I know how you can make it up to me." Even through the crackly line, Sunghoon can hear the smug overflow of cockiness seeping into Heeseung's voice. "Yeah? And what is that?"
"Let me take you out today."
Or: Heeseung takes Sunghoon out into a wintry wonderland, and the night ends better than they expected.

Summary
No, Sunghoon thought as her heart gave another horrible twist. She will never let her feelings get in the way of their friendship. Even if she had to put up the best front she's ever made.
Or: Sunghoon's a little miffed at the thought of her best friend kissing someone else for a play, but when the opportunity to come clean with her feelings arises, she suddenly isn't so sure if she's enough to take it.

"Hoon-ah, it's late—" Sunghoon ignores the older as he gently pries the guitar from his numb fingers and sets it onto the couch. "I should say the same thing to you," he answers instead, thumbs brushing under Heeseung's drooping eyes, the cooling touch doing wonders against feverish skin. "What were you thinking, cooped up in here when you should be back at the dorms, in bed?"
Or: Sunghoon doesn't want Heeseung to spend another night in the studio, so he pays the older a midnight visit.
