Summary
Eight Hermits and their friends reel from the aftermath of the server they've dubbed Third Life. Those who were inside struggle to put the desperate actions taken in the death game behind them and those who weren't are trying their best to support their traumatized and mixed-up friends.
Mumbo just wants to wrap his head around what happened, and find out why his best friend came back from the doomed server with wings.
Impulse just wants to put his double-crossing past behind him and regain the trust of his closest friends.
Grian just wants to be safe from the Watchers who had orchestrated it all and are still hell-bent on hunting him down.
(That's a lie. Grian also wants to find out what, exactly, happened to the other members of Evo, and why Jimmy's started remembering things that are probably better off forgotten.)

Summary
There are a number of differences between the first version of Third Life and the second. The largest, perhaps, being the fact it can’t be called Third Life at all, considering the odds are heavily against any one person living and dying no more and no less than three times. It is a crueler game this time, resources even more limited, the bloodlust of one’s last life cranked up to eleven and impossible to remain allies with anyone who can’t understand that need, and the infamous, regular presence of the Boogeyman curse leaving even the strongest alliances only one moment of mistrust away from shattering.
And that is, of course, before adding in one Watcher of indiscernible motives and their interest in a lost fool of a pet playing a higher game he knows nothing about and a second Watcher determined to piece back together the facsimile of a family he had once had.
But the third comes into this game bereft of himself from a code gone wrong, unsure just what it is he’s fighting for, bloodied and bruised for a cause he can’t remember, knowing above all else he has to win this game again. So why is it that every blow he deals seems to hurt Grian more than anyone on the other end of it?

Summary
It’s simple, really. If Scar had ever seen a horror movie, none of this would have happened.

Or: In which a dinner invitation from a Vex should never, ever be taken lightly.

Summary
There are things in Boatem that aren't talked about. Open secrets, if you will, some less secret than others.
Scar is part Vex. (And has stumbled into a situation with unintentional magic that's dragging him back to those roots.) Mumbo is a potato—among other things. (And he can't figure out why when the defective codes that made him that way are long gone.) Pearl is, periodically, turning into a ghost. (And she doesn't know why, even when she can't stop staring up at the ever-growing moon.) Impulse is, quite possibly, the sanest person in all of Boatem. (And that's just a terrifying thought, because no one should have that responsibility.) Grian is a Watcher. (And that's causing all sorts of other problems of late, most of which he is pointedly ignoring. Not to mention the other open secret, his wings, and how he is absolutely not coming to terms with the fact that, after Last Life, he'll never be able to fly with them again.)
And there are a few other things—how Xisuma's terrifyingly unaware of his own server and possibly possessed, how Doc never wanted to take over his position as admin, how Jimmy never came back from Last Life.
Oh.
And the moon's big.

Summary
Grian’s on a timer, counting ever-upwards, with no choice but to guess what happens at the end of it. Scar’s pulling in a life debt that can’t be dissolved to tag along, no matter the risks.
Mumbo’s signed up for an adventure, one that might have been a very bad idea. Pearl’s not entirely sure she wanted him along.
Impulse is having a great time. As one does when having to reckon with no longer being in charge and also sleeping in your childhood bedroom while a third of your server is still missing.
And Etho is not crazy, thank you. No matter what happened on the Hermethius, and the strings of Fate that pull tighter every moment.
(Something wicked this way comes.)
