Summary
Tommy should’ve known this was coming.
It had all been going so well. Granted there had been a few tense moments, like when Phil finally let him into the cockpit and he almost blew the ship up, and a lot of learning curves for both him and the crew, but aside from that it was going well.
But now something was wrong.
He could feel it in his chest before it happened, a weird, almost painful sensation that started lower down in his diaphragm and got caught in his lungs, a horrifying, deeply annoying, horribly embarrassing—
Hic

Summary
He walked past one of the long tables and saw the aliens were all holding holographic cards that looked completely blank.
He carried on walking through, there were hundreds of flashing machines in one corner that honestly looked like those slot machines on Earth.
Wait.
Tommy looked back at the long tables and saw an alien slide a pile of chips into the centre of the table.
Holy shit!
This was a casino!
Tommy’s face split into a wild grin beneath the mask, and he had to resist the urge to rub his hands together like some cartoon villain. He was absolutely going to make the most of this.

Summary
“Tommy you’ve got a delivery!” Wilbur yelled as he came up the ramp onto the ship. Tommy was curled up in Phil’s chair on the flightdeck, and Wil’s voice filtered in through the ship’s AV system.
The three aliens had headed into the space port about two hours ago to collect supplies and refuel, and Tommy had remained on the ship. Partly because he was tired and partly because he couldn’t be bothered to put on his disguise.
He bolted upright excitedly. He’d never had a delivery before, granted because he didn’t exactly know many people in outer space due to the whole, ya know, humans are illegal kinda thing.

Summary
Tommy stopped dead with a gasp, his hand squeezing Techno’s tightly. Techno stopped abruptly with a surprised snort, immediately staring around with a hand on his compactable axe that was hung on his belt. Phil and Wilbur also immediately stopped talking, Phil’s wings puffing out and curling around their backs as all three aliens scanned their surroundings.
“Tommy what—?” Wilbur started, but Tommy had already unfrozen and was dragging a tense Techno over to a pile of crates in the corner.
“A puppy!”

Being sick in space is a huge inconvenience by PetrichorWaters

Summary
Turns out that if Tommy can survive in space, so can the bugs.
And no, he’s not talking about aliens that look like bugs. He’s talking about the kinda bugs that make you ill. Or in this case, the kind of bug that has given Tommy a headache, the shivers and a really annoying cough.
That would be the first problem.
The second problem is that Tommy is on a ship with three aliens. Which isn’t that odd actually, he’s been with them for close to a year now he thinks. No, the problem is that these three specific aliens actually care about him (something he’s still getting used to) and tend to freak out over the smallest things.

Summary
Family was an odd word for Tommy. It felt so big and complicated, like there was so much meaning in such a small word.
But now Tommy felt like he was finally starting to understand the word. Like he was getting a glimpse into it, and he liked what he saw.
So of course, now was the time he had to screw everything up.
And it started with Wilbur.
Or
Tommy thought he'd finally found his family, even if they were aliens. So why is there another human standing in front of him?

Aliens aren't real. Right? by PetrichorWaters

Summary
Aliens weren’t real.
That was something Tommy used to have a firm belief in. He was never one to gaze out at the stars and wonder at the life that might be found out there. He was too preoccupied being kicked out of various foster homes.
And he was tired of it. It was like re-reading the same book over and over, he was tired of having to read through the entire book just to reach the same ending with each house. So this time he was skipping straight to the end and burning the pages.
Or
Humans aren't meant to be in space. So how exactly did Tommy end up here?

Summary
“So how do we play?” Phil asked.
“Umm.” Tommy wracked his brain, trying to remember how they played. “Your aim is to bankrupt the other players.”
“Capitalism?” Quackity’s eyebrows shot up underneath his beanie. “Humans have a game based around capitalism?”
“Umm—”
“Quackity trust me, the more you learn about humans the less will surprise you.” Phil chuckled.

It's game night on Las Nevadas and Quackity brings out an old Earth game. Normally games are for relaxing and bonding.
Except this game is literally designed to test friendships and takes you through the five stages of grief and usually goes on for hours and is one of the worst games ever invented. I am of course talking about Monopoly.

Summary
When Tommy was younger he was always asked what he wanted to be when he grew up.
Tommy wanted to be a zookeeper. Or maybe a policeman.
What he definitely didn’t want to be was an astronaut.
Granted he was a very unwilling astronaut. He hadn’t exactly chosen to end up in space, he’d sort of been yoinked off of Earth unwillingly.
But however you look at it, Tommy was now an astronaut on an alien spaceship in the middle of space. And he had been here for a very long time.

Summary
The aliens are a musical lot.
Tommy hears it in Phil’s whistling.
He hears it in Techno’s humming when he thinks no one can hear him.
Sometimes Tommy thinks Wilbur spends more time singing than he does speaking.
Tommy loves their music. But he struggles to remember all the words to the Earth songs he grew up with, and trying to sing or hum one of them often ends with him feeling worse when he can’t get it right.
Which leads to where Tommy is now, sitting at a desk with his tongue between his teeth, Duffle on his lap for moral support while he shakily writes out what he hopes is a letter to Quackity.

Summary
Tommy didn’t miss a huge amount of stuff on Earth. But there were certain times he’d reminisce.
“What’s autumn?” Techno had asked.
Tommy spun in a circle, arms out wide. “It looks like this! All the trees go brown and red and their leaves fall off, and the weather becomes chillier and the days get shorter and the nights get longer.”
“So it’s a season.” Wilbur interrupted.
“It’s so much more Wibbles, it’s crispy mornings and jumpers and –” Tommy gasped. “Halloween!”

Summary
Wilbur let out a subtle cough and Techno jolted. He cleared his throat and waved the wand around aimlessly.
“Tommy, human from Earth. I am here for your teeth.”
Tommy startled. “My what?” He squeaked.
“No, No!” Wilbur hissed and Techno backtracked.
“I mean, I am here to give you teeth?”
“No!”
“I’m here to give you money.”
“NO!”
“I am here to take your money?” Techno said questioningly. He levelled the wand at Tommy’s chest. “Give me your teeth and your money.”

Summary
Ever since Tommy’s aliens found out about Halloween, they had been fixated on learning all about Earth traditions.
When Tommy questioned him, he realised Techno had managed to acquire an alien book off Quackity on human traditions, and it was quickly becoming Tommy’s favourite piece of entertainment.
Techno stopped on one page and peered closer at the book. “Huh.”
“What is it?” Phil asked, lazily combing his hands through his feathers. Techno was frowning at the book.
“Chtristlemahs.” Techno said. Tommy sniggered.

Summary
Tommy loved Phil’s wings. They were glossy and soft when they curled around his shoulders, they sounded like a whisper when they rustled together, and they were beautiful. Tommy would brush up against them whenever he had a chance, and Phil never complained.
And then one time he had offered for Tommy to help him with Preening.
Tommy wasn’t sure what that was, so he asked. And by the stars did he wish he hadn’t.
No Phil, he did not want to help pull out your feathers. No matter how much you insist it doesn’t hurt.
