Seiji refuses to answer to the taunt. Arms stretched over her head, toes barely touching the floor, she hangs in chains as Anubisu circles her like a shark who has scented blood.
She’s furious, both at herself and at her enemy, for letting herself be captured first but also because, for all the precautions she has taken to hide her true sex, the Yami Masho has never seemed to be fooled more than one minute.
He has always known, somehow, that Seiji is a girl.

“It’s too important a tool to risk,” Naaza breathes in, his hand sliding a little lower, edging on the waistband of the pants he puts on Seiji. “Anubisu would be upset if something happened to it. With her own ruined the way it was…” he grimaces, and Seiji’s breath hitches.

Summary
Ah, but enough thinking about Rekka. She isn’t there. Kourin is, and Rajura has a (most pleasant) job to do.
His eye roams over the blonde Trooper’s body, taking in every small detail he can. Anything he registers, anything he can remember, will help him perfect his illusions. Rajura has always had a good eye (ha!) to find things that made the whole things feel more real than they are. But to get perfection, to get something that would be able to fool his fellow Masho, he needs more than a passing glance. He needs to touch, to scent, to explore.
And it’s so easy to do it now, when Kourin is unable to resist or fight him and he can watch her to his heart’s content.

Kourin’s wails as Rajura starts touching her between the legs snaps her attention back and Anubisu’s nails dig into her palms as she sees Rajura pulls one of Kourin’s legs over his shoulder to have better access, keeping it up with one hand while the other roams and touches intimate places.
This is what she has always wanted, she strongly reminds herself, keeping her breathing even despite the twinge of unease that is slowly sinking its claw at the bottom of her stomach.
(Had she looked half as terrified herself when…?)

Summary
The Gen Masho will go a lot further than Naaza himself will, but ultimately, he’s not a rapist either.
If Anubisu had ever thought he could be one, or that Naaza might wander down that path, she’d never have welcomed either of them in her bed.
She should have realized that herself much earlier, but consumed by her hatred like she was, she never made the logical step in her mind.
Hopefully, she’ll be better now, he thinks as he watches her drain her cup in one go and put it back down.
“You tricked me,” Anubisu finally says, and Naaza inwardly sighs.

For a moment, she’s silent, mulling over his words, and Rajura thinks this will be the end of it.
Then…
“There is always you and Naaza, isn’t there?”
And Rajura knows then that something is deeply, incredibly wrong with Anubisu.

And if we go down that road… where will it end, Shuu? Where will it end?” she asks more softly, voice barely above a whisper.

Weirdly, he has felt proud of the brats for even attempting it in the first place. Who knew the Troopers could be devious – or that at least Suiko and Kourin had teeth? Not that he hadn’t known about Kourin’s already, given the verbal punches she had thrown at them, but…
They couldn’t be serious. Their prisoners were grabbing at straws, trying to needle them like they had been needled first.A fair attempt at revenge for the way Kourin had been treated, he had thought.
Well, Rajura’s not sneering anymore.
Or, after Naaza's talk with Kourin and Suiko, Rajura is forced to think things over, and a series of horrific realizations push the Masho into making a snap decision for their safety (and the Troopers')...

Shuten’s lips twitch and he dips his head. “Hiding one’s true gender for a few months and a handful of battles is nothing to scoff at, yes,” he says, acknowledging the Troopers without naming them, “but managing to do it for years at end? It is no small feat.”
“For all the good it did,” Anubisu spits bitterly. “It wasn’t even that much of a secret in the end.”
“No,” Shuten muses aloud, sounding thoughtful and startling Anubisu out of her spiraling thoughts. “It wasn’t. Even I figured it out at one point, after all.”
Or, meeting with Shuten again after the Masho (wisely) decided to run and take the Troopers with them brings Anubisu to new realizations, and perhaps yet another step into healing.

“I do not know how,” the Yami Masho replies automatically, surprising herself. The answer has come out naturally, without her even thinking about it. Rekka, it seems, is good at getting answers out of you when you least expect it.
Rekka smiles in a mirthless way. “Yeah, I thought so,” she nods. “But you want to, don’t you?”
Hesitantly, eyes going to Kourin, Anubisu nods. “Very much so, yes.”
Or, Arago is finally dead and, under the night sky at Nasutei's house, Anubisu and Seiji finally have a heart to heart talk with Ryo as a witness. Some things will hurt for a long time, but maybe they can all heal in the end...
