Summary
Sylves Tevenra is a powerful mage, said to have been born with the ability to subdue humanity's mortal enemies once and for all. Esares is the demon who was sent to kill him and has been paying the price ever since. And then there is Anereth Laverien, who Esares knows is unkind and treacherous, but who is the only person his master would trust with his treasured slave.
Esares holds the key to his master's destruction, but he will have to decide whether using it would bring him and his people closer to freedom, or merely turn him into another dangerous man's pawn.

Summary
A few months before Anereth is due to start attending school in the capital, he receives an unexpected birthday present in the form of a personal slave. And it's not that he doesn't see the advantages of having one, but he has books to read and spells to study, and there's just not a lot of time to concern himself with strangely unenthusiastic bed slaves.
Unfortunately, said bed slave does not do well being ignored, or being touched, or being a bed slave at all. And Anereth quickly realizes he will have to do something about that, because while he's not sure how to feel about having to deal with a personal slave, he knows he doesn't want to have to deal with a dead one.
(Backstory; could also be read on its own)

Summary
Getting a slave as a gift years ago came as a surprise to Anereth, but that was mostly about the timing. In this instance, though, nothing about it makes sense – starting with the slave's gender and ending with the fact that the man giving her to him has absolutely no reason to do so.
Except apparently he does, and it’s not that he wishes for Anereth’s appreciation or happiness.
Still, the motive behind the gift Anereth could have stomached. After all, it's not a betrayal when you should have seen it coming.
The slave's attitude, though... the slave's attitude is another matter.
(The slave’s attitude is the least of his problems.)

Summary
When Anereth first approached the Chosen One, he hadn’t realized how easy it would be to win him over. From the first day of their acquaintance until many months into their romantic relationship, everything had gone perfectly smoothly.
So it’s a shame when Anereth realizes he will have to get humanity’s beloved hero to break up with him.
(If only Sylves weren’t the worst kind of hypocrite, Anereth could have brought himself to do the expedient thing.)
