Summary

I don’t want to be dead!” Large wounds opened up on her face, and she started to howl and dig into his skin.

Summary
When Severus wakes up, he hears a voice in his head that isn't his own.

Severus could tell that Remus was genuinely flustered, and he was hesitant to admit that he wanted to know why. Remus was exerting a great deal of self-control to keep his mind blank, unlike Severus, who struggled to do the same. It was fortunate for Severus that Remus pretended to ignore the embarrassing thoughts he could hear. Not that he would ever admit it, but Severus was thankful for that. Both boys were acutely aware of the mutual attraction between them, although Severus refused to believe it extended beyond that.
'Why do you want to know so badly?' Remus’s soft voice echoed in Severus's mind, causing him to let out an embarrassing yelp. At least thirty minutes had passed since they had last spoken directly to one another.
'Know what?' Severus said, feigning ignorance.
'I can tell that you're wondering what made me embarrassed,' Remus said, sounding tired, almost sick. Despite himself, Severus found himself concerned about Remus's well-being.
'I don't care...' Severus mumbled, though they both knew it wasn’t true.

The kid giggled. The baker looked down at him with more fondness than Severus had ever seen before, not even from his own parents.
“That would be so silly,” Teddy said. He ran back to his coloring book and sat down. “I’m going to draw you in a hot dog suit!”
“You brought that on yourself,” the baker said.
“Indeed. Thanks for the shirt.”
