Summary
Bonding with the Toruk had…side effects, Norm had told him once Spider came to ask, especially for Jake, who was in an Avatar body and lacked the experience in tsaheylu other Na’vi had. His mind was- well, not exactly weaker, but it was different. More open to influences once a bond was made. Influences that changed Jake, made him act different sometimes.
OR
After connecting to Toruk in the first movie, Jake ended up with some of his characteristics. Mainly manifesting in bursts of "moods" in which Jake reverts to more primal, animalistic instincts causing him to mostly want to stay home and cuddle his family.
Spider learns the hard way that he, too, is a Sully.

Somehow, they become friends.

Quaritch had gotten complacent. He didn't expect Jake to fight back during his hunt for his family, nor did he expect to become the target of a hunt himself. That was why he set out together with Neytiri to take the man out and end the battle before it could start.
Then Jake saw Spider standing amongst his father's men, reciting RDA propaganda.

Summary
Tsam'eveng - War Child // the na’vi term for children taken as war prizes.
Children are all considered gifts of Eywa, no matter who their parents are. As such it is no surprise that it is common to take the children of an enemy slain by your hands as your spoils. Neytiri has killed Quaritch, his son is her's by the traditions of her people.

Summary
Deep in the Black Forest, where the trees stand together so close no light may pass, live the fae folk. Magical, powerful beings who control both nature and spirit- beings who are as beautiful as they are treacherous.
Spider has grown up hearing these tales all his life, despite never having seen one himself.
When he saves an unassuming blue bird while out on the forest one day he didn't exactly assume that to change. But fate seemed to have different plans.

The RDA is defeated and Spider instated as the ruler of the last few leftovers of humanity on Pandora. He should feel greatful, he does not.

Once upon a time in the middle of winter, when the flakes of snow were falling like feathers from the sky, a queen sat at a window sewing, and the rays of sun as golden as can be. And whilst she was sewing and looking out of the window at the snow, she pricked her finger with the needle, and three drops of blood fell upon the snow. And the red looked pretty upon the white snow bathed in the evening light, and she thought to herself, "Would that I had a child as beautiful as snow, with lips red as blood, and hair as golden as the sun?"
Soon after that she had a little son, who was as beautiful as snow,with lips red as blood, and his hair was as golden as the sun. And because the little prince would spent each day trying to climb from his crib, he’d soon gain the nickname Spider, because he was as skilled as the animal itself.
But soon after the child was born, the queen fell ill and died.
