"Eddie!" Buck cooed, sitting up in his hospital bed as Eddie closed the door behind him.
For all the time Buck spends in the hospital, he should have his own room by now.
"I, uh, I just wanted to..." Eddie cleared his throat, trying not to let his nerves get the better of him. "Are you okay?" He asked, finally.
"Concussion and a fractured collarbone, spending the night in the hospital definitely wasn't what I wanted, but could've been worse."

Summary
The longer Eddie listened to them talk, the more he wanted to be her. He wanted to be the one saying cheesy pick-up lines to Buck, he wanted to be the one making Buck laugh, he wanted to be the one with his hand on Buck's thigh.
Oh, how he craved it.
He was still sober. There was nothing forcing him to slide into the seat next to Buck, no reason for him to press against his best friend- connecting them all the way from shoulder to ankle.
"Eddie!" Buck cheered, missing the look of disappointment that crossed over the woman's face.

The man in black went tumbling down, he could hear the pained grunts that escaped his mouth.
"As-" The pirate rolled over a stone embedded in the hillside. "You-" A grunt escaped his mouth as his chest smacked into the angled dirt. "Wish!"
Eddie gasped, watching with horrified eyes. "Oh, my sweet Evan, what have I done?"

Despite claiming it was stupid, Buck had spent the last half hour painstakingly making mini chocolate chip cookies for the Cookie Monster cupcakes.
Buck took the bowl of now mixed eggs from Eddie, pouring them in with the rest of the ingredients for the cupcakes.
"Denny watched Sesame Street all the time when he was little." Hen commented, grabbing a cookie from the counter and popping it into her mouth.
Eddie swore he saw Buck's blood pressure rise. "You put that back." He chided through tightly gritted teeth.
