Summary
It’s now been 3 weeks since Buck had moved out of South Bedford Street, his new place was nice - the biggest place he’s lived since he was a kid at least, there was a great garden and a spare room. It ticked all of his boxes, and yet it still felt like something was missing.
He felt the same at work too every time he looked across the bay to see Hen and Eddie laughing away at some inside joke he wasn’t privy to. It wasn’t long until he realised the thing missing in all aspects of his life was simply Eddie.
And maybe he should’ve spoken to his therapist about how badly his blood boils when he sees Eddie getting that close with someone else, and maybe that talk should’ve happened years ago when he got like this over Tommy. And now that he’s thinking about it maybe he wasn’t entirely correct about what he was so jealous over at the time because he knows right now he doesn’t want to date Hen and yet it still feels the same.

Summary
Eddie must’ve been looking at porn. Sure, the kitchen table is a little bold for Eddie but when you’re living alone for the first time in your life and lord knows how pent up you are, you take what you can get when you can get it he supposes. And look, Buck would be lying if he said he wasn’t at least a little interested in what gets Eddie off - on account of his naturally curious nature and desire to understand all the most important people in his life and nothing more.
So curiosity got the better of him and he flipped the tablet ready to see some busty woman in whatever compromising position Eddie liked best and what he found instead was instantly more disturbing than any pornographic material could be.

Summary
“Am I in a relationship with Eddie? Like romantically?” Buck questioned, the anxiety thick on his tone as he awaited a response.
“Yes,” Maddie replied quick enough that Buck wouldn’t be able to hear the lie in there, and in years to come if you were to ask Maddie about this moment she’d probably lie again and tell you she doesn’t know why she did what she did.
But in reality she knows. She knows all too well why she lied. She wants her brother to be happy and with his memories he’s got too much at stake to try and get that happiness so she’s taking matters into her own hands for better or for worse.
“I was hoping that’d be the case,” Buck smiled his truest grin of the day, content in the knowledge that he’d woken up in a better life than the one he remembered.
