Summary
Arthur locates an unoccupied stall. The one next to it, he can see, is occupied. Somebody is kneeling in it, someone wearing dark trousers and clunky combat boots.
Fuck. A glory hole.
Arthur weighs it up for a moment before he decides, yes, this is exactly what he needs. It’s not something he’s done before, but there’s a first time for everything, and nothing says selfish like getting a stranger to suck your cock.
He opens the stall door, knocks twice on the dividing wall. The other person knocks back.

Summary
Gwaine approaches cautiously, not wanting to scare him off. He moves close enough that they can talk quietly, privately, without being overheard, but not so close that Merlin will feel uncomfortable with his proximity.
“You’re a virgin, right?” Gwaine asks, all tact evaporating as soon as his mouth opens, as per usual.
“What?” Merlin splutters. “Don’t be thick. Of course I’m not. I told you the story the other night!”
“All right. Tell me her name, then.”
“Um, it was—“ Merlin begins. He doesn’t finish.
“You’re a virgin,” Gwaine says, certain, now, from the look in Merlin’s eyes. The confirmation hits him like a perfectly-aimed blow. “You’re actually a virgin.”

Summary
“Merlin,” Arthur sighed again, looking up to the heavens. Maybe, just this once, God would listen to his prayers.
“No, sorry, that was as clear as mud. What do you have to do? What do I have to do?”
Arthur felt his cheeks flame. There was nothing to do but come out with it. God was not going to take pity on him today.
“Lashes. You need to take a dozen lashes. On your… buttocks.”
Merlin regarded him with suspicion.
“This is a joke, right? You’re joking?”
“Does it seem like I’m in a particularly jovial mood?”
“Arthur, you can’t be serious! I call you names all the time! You like that about me!”
“I tolerate your impropriety, yes, I admit that, but this is different. It’s not up to me. I tried, believe me, but I can’t get you out of this one.”

Summary
“Lancelot,” Merlin whispered, taking care not to disturb any of the other knights, all of whom were sleeping around the slowly dying fire. “Are you awake?”
“Yes,” Lancelot whispered back, shuffling around on his bedroll to turn and face Merlin. His eyes shone like beacons in the darkness of the forest.
Merlin cleared his throat. “Are you, um, warm enough?”
Lancelot smiled. “Are you?”
“Me? I’m fine. Toasty, even,” Merlin protested.
“You’re shivering,” Lancelot pointed out.
“Maybe a bit.” Merlin smiled sheepishly. It was a mild enough night, but he didn’t have the benefit of the layers the knights wore: the thick wool gambesons or the heavy velvet cloaks.
He picked at the frayed edge of the scratchy linen blanket he had packed, hardly warm enough to protect him from the chill.“Would you— uh, that is, I was wondering—”
“Merlin,” Lancelot interrupted, not unkindly.
“Could I, maybe—”
“If you’re asking me whether we can share warmth, the answer is yes, Merlin.”

Summary
But the most crucial thing about the prince, as far as Merlin is concerned, is that he has hands. Hands that Merlin thinks about.
They’re nice hands, is the thing. Strong hands. Firm hands. Always in motion, never idle. It’s hardly Merlin’s fault for looking at them when Arthur so loves to wave them about, point them at Merlin, ruffle his hair and touch his shoulders with them. He can’t help looking at them. Or thinking about them.
