Summary
Coen has followed the orders of the Augurs wherever they've taken him; and with him, bound within him, a soul he salvaged has remained for hundreds of years. Ambrus is Coen's enduring companion, trapped to his fate despite how deeply he has come to feel about the Dawnwalker he can do little but witness and protect... but as Coen finds himself in Scotland in pursuit of a stolen ritual dagger, perhaps after so very long, things between them might yet have chance to change.
(multi-chapter fic, Victorian era setting, paying off a slow-burn romance with themes of shared bodies, bonded souls and escaping cages.)
