Shockwave had never believed in Primus; some grand creator wouldn’t create such flawed creatures such as Starscream. A truly smart creator would have trashed the fool upon his forging. He swore to himself that if he ever created life, it would actually be scientifically faultless, grand, and loyal.

Chromedome’s insecurity often rears its head due to their relationship. He feels he isn’t enough, doesn’t do enough. He isn’t dedicating enough of himself; it’s hard to break him out of that belief. Rewind doesn’t require anything, actually; he’s willing to give everything he has even if he were to receive nothing back. He’s sure Rung would be scolding him for this uneven balance, but Rewind knows what he wants. Chromedome worries that he doesn’t do enough in the berth, that their interfacing is somehow unsatisfactory for Rewind.
Sometimes reassurances must be given.

He slams the cube onto the table louder than he intended, and cringes as a few mechs look over at the noise. “So, uh-” He flounders, all suaveness lost to the awkward air. “Come here often?”
“Not anymore.”

Rung drinks down the rest of his cube, his frame aching in the phantom pain of the memory, fuel tank churning. His empty cube is quickly replaced with a full one from Skids’ subspace. “I’m sorry that happened to you, eyebrows. I’m glad you survived, though. I’d rather your company than whatever other shrink they would have saddled us with.” Skids smiles at him, broad and toothy, and Rung feels his spark spin faster.
“I’m glad too…” He says quietly, turning into his cube to hide the flush on his face.

Tailgate breaks out into a sob, loud and obnoxious, and Whirl panics, glancing in fear at Cyclonus to see if making his sweet lil car cry was enough for another crushing attempt, but no, he does not pause his storm-off attempt. “Whoa, hey! Uh, it’s ok. What’s wrong, lil guy?” Whirl coos as if talking to a new-forge, dancing from one foot to the other, struggling to keep up with his dance and Cyclonus’s pace.
Tailgate audibly resets his vocoder, cries quieting to a snuffling sound, “Cyclonus won’t sit on my face.” Whirl nods, claw clicking against his chin as he sagely gives advice and actually- “Wait WHAT?” he blurts, and when he looks back at Cyclonus, what he previously thought was a flush of rage has brightened into what he can now diagnose as embarrassment.

The bigger mech nodded, not a hint of shame on his face. “Statistically, you showed a 31% increase in productivity and efficiency after receiving negative treatment. I believe this is statistically significant enough to propose a scheduled negative experience.”
Rodimus had to force his gaping mouth closed with a click, reseting his audials as if he’d simply misheard Ultra Magnus. “So you do. You want to beat me.” That forced a crack through Magnus’s steely composure, a nervous shift of his pedes. “If you must be crass, then yes. I believe a ‘beating’ would be beneficial for you.”

Censere came to him in those tender moments; as a new friend’s optics turned off for the last time and he was left horribly alone again, he’d arrive. It was no surprise that Rung grew close to him; Censere had an air about him, something old about his spark, a familiarity in his signature that comforted Rung inherently. If he believed in the mythology of destined sparkmates, he’d be hard to deny that Censere filled a hole that Rung had always left empty.

“I don’t know what you’re implying,” Brainstorm teases, a wire caught and snipped under his clippers, the gun’s power supply hissing as it rapidly loses charge. “I go through all the proper channels."

“It’s ok, Hot Rod.” Brainstorm pulls Rodimus’s face from his abdomen, yanking him up till they’re level. He rubs a thumb under one of Rodimus’s optics, catching lubricant against the digit and shoving it into Rodimus’s intake. He rubs his thumb against Rodimus’s tongue, washing the salty fluid off. “You can make it up to me.”

Unlike the humans on Earth whose nerve endings cannot interpret touch within their internals, Mechs can feel everything. It makes for a particularly efficient torture method, and resulted in an excruciatingly painful war. He tugs at the tubing, feeling it resist as he works himself faster into Shockwave, enjoying the fractional tightening every time he threatens to unplug whatever this component is.
“You’ll regret doing that,” Shockwave informs him in a shaky monotone, his finials flat against the back of his head, his valve so tight it almost hurts. “I tend to do that a lot,” Prowl responds and yanks the tube from its place; instantly, his spike is soaked in excess lubricant. It pours out of Shockwave, wet and sticky; it streams down Prowl's legs into a shiny puddle. Something within Shockwave rumbles ominously, and he locks optics with the mech as his faceplate seems to split.
