After hearing rumors of a strange mansion deep in a nearby forest, future owner of the Mario Kart company Cam sets out to investigate. Cam goes missing, and their younger sister Rescue sets out to find them. Little do they know what horrors await them, or that they are now permanently and unintentionally interwoven with the mansion and the spirits of its former residents.
This is a first-person retelling of the events of (Mario) The Music Box Remastered from the perspective of my two Lakitu OCs, Cam and Rescue. However, I have written them as furries because I wanted to. There will be side paragraphs for all of the endings and deaths leading up to the better off lost ending.

An abandoned mansion far southeast of the Mushroom Kingdom, rumored to make people vanish. Mario had been tasked with investigating it. Despite Peach and Luigi offering to go with him, Mario insisted on going alone for their safety. He promised to return in three days… it had been a week.
The people of the Mushroom kingdom have gone weary and Peach could only panic, unsure of what to do as her knight in overalls has been taken from her. She enlists in the aid of Luigi to go and find his missing brother... however he too is scared and wishes not to go alone. in hopes of easing his fears and aid in the search, Luigi requests that Mario's old rival turned greatest friend, Sonic the Hedgehog, to join with him.
However, Sonic may have troubles of his own. Will he find and save his "Plumber Brother." and what will happen to Mario's "Hedgehog pal?" assuming he's still the same Hedgehog we know.
