Hat Kid, while traversing the Multiverse, is thrust and falls (literally) into a whimsical new world where there are gods, and nations, and some people have these things called ‘Visions’. Just when she thinks things couldn’t get worse, she finds out that seven of her Time-Pieces are scattered across the surface of what she later learned was a place named Teyvat.
Eventually, Hat Kid runs into a blonde-haired traveler named Lumine, and her tiny, flying companion named Paimon, and finds out that these two are conveniently looking for Lumine’s brother, Aether, and that they are searching for him in each of the Seven Nations. Together, the three traverse Teyvat in search of Aether and the Timepeices, and on the way, the three make some peculiar friends.
