“Oh. By the way, a letter with a package came for you today. I had John receive it, it should be waiting for you in your room,” Mycroft says.
Sherlock furrows his brow, “Do you know who sent it?”
“I believe it came from Sir Slaney?”
Sherlock stands quickly and rushes out of the room. This couldn’t be so, it simply could not be so! He slams open the door from the meeting room, and almost runs towards where his room was.
OR
SHERLOCK HOLMES receives a strange package, but JOHN WATSON receives it instead. It has deadly consequences, and Sherlock knows what kind of things he needs to do next.

And then, time stopped to let everything race. He hears the shot. He turns. The bullet, he can see it, he sees, he sees, he sees, and then.
He sees the red before the black. It races through his eyes. Bloodshot. He brings his hands up to his face and he can’t, he can’t, he can’t see them. He can not see his hands, and he hears a voice, and he doesn’t register who is screaming until his throat is burning. He is screaming. Someone screams his name. He can’t see who. The voice sounds, alien, foreign, hoarse, panicked, surely that wasn’t Sherlock. Sherlock was monotone. Sherlock was not this voice. Surely not, this voice sounded panicked, psychotic, angry-no, furious. But it is his name all the same. And it is not the name Watson being screamed, it is his name.

Summary
If there was one thing John knew about Sherlock it was that the man never did anything unnecessary. Everything he did had some higher purpose, some deeper meaning. There was no point in inflicting pain onto a man who was about to succumb to wounds in a few minutes anyway. The only motive he could have had to open Slaney’s eyes about his delusions was because he wanted him to suffer while he could. Because he wanted this opportunity to take revenge for the pain Slaney had put him through.
