Summary
Five years have passed since the incident in Inaba.
Yu Narukami, a broken Wild Card, arrives in Tokyo under the watchful eye of Tohru Adachi. His mission? To serve as an assistant to the infamous prosecutor Sae Niijima.
Meanwhile, Chie Satonaka, another member of the former Investigation Team, is training at the police academy in Tokyo. Haunted by the unsolved Inaba murders, her pursuit of the truth leads her to Yu, and the secret he’s tried to bury.

Summary
Yu Narukami and the Investigation Team have been looking for the one who's been throwing people into the T.V. and causing them to die. Yu figures out who it is but decides not to tell the Investigation Team as he feels protecting the Killer is the best choice. When he comes face to face with him before Leaving Inaba, Yu decides to help the killer out by burning the last piece of evidence that could get him caught. The next day he would go back home from Inaba after committing this Sin, only to discover he's been sent back in time, whether a God or a Demon did this, with only one objective.
Repent for his Calamity Sin.

Annoyed, Yu reaches over and grabs his phone. He squints at the caller ID. When he sees who it is, annoyance melts into anxiety. He answers quickly.
"...Hi, Adachi-san." He murmurs lowly.

Summary
Yu burns the evidence Adachi places before him. It must have been curiosity, he reasons, because he is not sure himself why else he would have done it. He supposes someone else, some higher force, must have had the same question. Yu goes to sleep on the train ride home and finds himself thrown back one year prior, on a train heading towards Inaba again.
It's April 2011, he has been granted a second chance, and he's not sure what to do with himself except to fixate on his mistakes. One mistake in particular, in the form of an altogether wretched man. Adachi doesn't know him anymore, but he does. He knows it all.
