Summary
His so-called "death" is the best thing that has ever happened to him.
He has a damn good job with the Kirijo Group, and he works with a team of people whom he can actually tolerate -and they don't even plot to murder him! No more Detective Prince bullshit. He's free to be himself - something that his fame had denied him throughout the latter part of his teen years. He barely misses his old life at all.
Really. He doesn't. 23-year-old Goro Akechi is very well-adjusted, thank you very much. He loves his life as a Shadow Operative.
That is, until tragedy strikes on a mission to the Metaverse and the Kirijo Group is forced to recruit more persona users...regardless of their past.
An AU 5 years post canon where Akechi is alive and the Phantom Thieves did a lot more than just thievery…if you catch my drift. Canon events will take place in dreams, flashbacks, and during therapy sessions because Goro needs to process some things.

Summary
Death has done wonderous things for Goro Akechi.
He has a steady job that he enjoys, an apartment of his own, and friends who don't contemplate murdering him for daring to speak out against their vigilantism. He even attends therapy on a weekly basis. There are very few things that he misses about his old life- or so he tells himself.
Yep. Things are looking bright for Goro Akechi, the newest member of the Shadow Operatives.
That is, until things in the Metaverse become so unpredictable and dangerous that the Kirijo Group has to start recruiting more Persona users - regardless of their backgrounds.

Summary
Goro will do anything to take care of his adoptive family. The Isshikis took him in when no one else would, and, even in the wake of Wakaba's death, such bonds could not be broken. They could, however, be stretched... By Goro's sister requesting help from the vigilante group known as the Phantom Thieves.
All that Goro thought he'd known is pulled out from under him and there's one young man with a Cheshire grin ready to pick him up out of the sand. Out of the many questions Goro has, he wonders: Is Kurusu here to steal his sister's heart? Or his own?

Summary
Akira didn't remember much before Dad and Papa adopted him. The orphanage had been overcrowded and full of loud, rowdy children. Akira didn't mind them most days, he supposed, but his favorite friend, Go-kun, usually made it better.

Summary
‘ “I’m sorry,” Yu says, after what feels like an eternity of silence between them.
“Shouldn’t I be the one apologising?” Akira replies, taking a sip of his coffee. It’s far too hot and it burns his tongue, but he doesn’t let himself wince.
“No. You did the right thing.”
“You’re the only one who thinks that,” ’
In which Akira stays in Tokyo with some childhood friends, Akechi lives in the attic of leblanc instead, and their fates are changed entirely.

Summary
When you have no home, everyday is unpredictable. Everyday is an uphill battle towards some semblance of stability and consistency. And Goro had to deal with this reality through most of his life. Although, there was a time when he didn't mind it at all.
I originally just wanted this to be about exploring Akechi's past. Stuff like his childhood with his mother, how he first found the Metaverse, how he became Shido's assassin, etc. It got a bit out of hand so now it's also an AU where he gets adopted by Wakaba Isshiki and saves her instead woops.
Mostly good Goro but he still turns into an assassin.
tw's at the beginning of every chapter, cuz this shit's gonna get really heavy.

Summary
Akechi is the adopted son of Sojiro along with Futaba. Akira is Akechi and vice versa basically with some big changes here and there. Their personalities are pretty much the same as canon to the best of my ability.
TW’s WILL BE AT TOP OF EACH CHAPTER

Summary
Goro Akechi had a sister, a family, and a plan. It certainly didn't involve some delinquent transfer student, but fate was never so kind to Goro — thus, he met Akira Kurusu.
(OR: How would the fate of the Phantom Thieves change if Akechi had been adopted by Wakaba and attended Shujin?)
