"Smile."
"Wha-?" A flare of light washed over her accompanying the click of the shutter. "...okay, I'm confused. What's the occasion?"
Cloud wound the film on, checking it would go no further and then began to wind it back. "I found this while getting the beds down."
"I'm flattered you wanted another picture of me, but I think we have a better camera somewhere..." She stared at the device in his hands, something surfacing deep within her memories. Something about that particular camera.
Cloud's voice was shaking slightly as he continued. "I found it with our bags; the ones we had when we were hunting Sephiroth."
The camera. There was something vital about that camera. Frustration itched across Tifa's brow. What was it? Cloud extracted the ribbon from his pocket.
"This... this is Aeris' ribbon. I think... I think the camera was too..."
While preparing for a gathering of Avalanche, Cloud finds a camera that used to belong to Aeris. What pictures did the Cetra take, and are there any of the flower girl herself?

Summary
That night she dreamed of the church again; but unlike the previous nights she saw it as it had once been. She had almost woken then, a thought bubbling up that she should visit soon anyway, even if the flowers weren't there, before she sank back into slumber. The church was different. Not newer, but less obviously damaged; the massive pool of water was missing, the pews wrecked and damaged by Tifa's fight were still bolted to the splintery wooden floor. And at one end of the church, in front of the altar, was the patch of grass and flowers so lovingly cared for. Streaming sunlight shifted as she watched the serene interior, the flowers wafting gently in a breeze... And then she saw a flash of pink as a girl with a pink ribbon in her hair walked quickly to the flower-bed, a wicker basket hooked over one arm. She admired the flowers for a moment, before crouching beside them, carefully teasing the blossoms up from the soil and placing them in the basket.
It has been a year since Sephiroth's remnants threatened the future of the Planet, and Marlene finds herself dreaming of Aerith's church and the flower garden it used to contain. Gift fic.

Summary
"Now, I want you to sit down and talk about your feelings."
Cloud was perched on the edge of the sofa, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees, his face in his hands. Barret by contrast was sitting as far from the blonde man as his bulk allowed, hunched up and almost lying on the arm. Marlene folded her arms and looked sternly from one to the other. Cloud brought his head up and met her eyes, panic registering behind the Mako glow. Her gaze swept to her father who looked at her with shock and a growing twinge of embarrassment. A hand touched her shoulder.
The signs had been there for a while, but it wasn't until Marlene made them sit down and discuss it that Cloud and Barret could admit that they had feelings for each other and Tifa. But as much as she would love to see her family grow, Denzel convinces her to give the grown-ups some space while they sort out the new dynamic.

Summary
There was a pressure on her arm. Fingertips, maybe. She didn't open her eyes right away though, just stayed where she was, face pressed in against the warmth she was half laying on. The pressure lifted for a moment, then returned, and she sighed before she cracked one eye open to look up at Reno. He was standing by the bed, jeans on and shirt missing, raising an eyebrow as he tilted his head toward the door.

Summary
Everything went sideways after Meteorfall, Elena mused. It wasn't enough that people had simply dropped dead the streets, black ooze leaking from their bodies; it wasn't enough that she'd been forced to defend herself against more than one innocent civilian who simply hated every last remnant of Midgar, of Shinra Electric. No. It had to be even worse. Alcohol had to become one of those things that they were forced to relearn.

Everything that could have gone wrong already had. The words bounced around Rufus's head, even as he leaned over his desk, bracing himself for the shudder that he knew he would be able to feel the moment the Sister Ray fired.
