Alex was one of the fastest pilots in the Terran Accord Navy, a cybernetically enhanced Interceptor, and then everything was just ripped away when the Affini invaded. After a near miss with a massive stroke while running from the Affini when the Bellerophon Capital ship was captured he wakes up paralyzed and with a large portion of his brain regrowing.
Convalescing while his brain heals and a massive alien plant monster is set to domesticate him and turn him into its pet isn't even the beginning to all his troubles.
