As sae's defeated the Terrans colonizing the planet of Stellaluna, sae's only thoughts now were opposing the equally frightening to saer Affini invasion.
As scary as the rule of authoritarian, colonialist capitalism is for saer, the idea of being a pet, losing saer autonomy, becoming victim to imperialist scum, being reparented, by someone like saer mother --- it made saer sick.
Sae could always count on Fereo, the barterer and tradesveran for saer autonomous commune.
At least, sae thought sae could.
For Fereo was working with the Affini invader Silene Lumen Tenth Bloom this whole time, working behind saer back.
Stabbing saer in the back.
And now, to avoid flor's motherly toxicity, flor's cruel benevolence, Ainara Lumen Tenth Bloom, as sae is now called, has to find a way to escape.
Or will sae become a pet for good?
