TRIGGERS: Basically, if you've seen the TV show, you know what kind of triggers to expect. APMF contains slavery, non-explicit reference to sexual activities of dubious consent or no consent, swearing, slash sex, violence, gore, death of canon characters, torture.

Summary
Yusuf al Kaysani and Nicolo di Genova were not the first of the immortals to wake up together from a sure death, though they were the first to kill each other and wake up together.
In 73 BCE as the Gladiator War comes to an end, the freed Gladiators making their final stand, and Nasir and Agron fall moments apart. A retreat is issued, and in the pain and panic that follows they woke up again. Alive, and as the Romans would quickly find out, unkillable. Decades later the figures that began to haunt their dreams would arrive; a Scythian warrior, a Greek Hypaspist, and an archer from the far East.
In 1099 Yusuf and Nicolo kill each other and awake, in the 13th century the Greek died, in the 17th the archer would be condemned to a coffin in the water, in the 19th a deserter would be executed and live to walk away, and in 2020 an American Marine would survive a knife to the throat with not a single mark left behind.
And then things got complicated.
