Summary
In which after Scene 16, Ivan's suicide attempt fails, and he lands himself in the hospital. He feels awful, mentally and physically. Even after realizing what he's done, he still can't seem to change no matter how much he wants to. The hospital eventually assigns him a therapist and he hesitantly goes to see every week.
He knows Andrew doesn't want to see him anymore. But he can't help but ache whenever he sees things that reminds him of Andrew. He brings it up to the therapist, and tries healthy coping methods.
After a few years, they bump into each other again, but Andrew still doesn't want anything to do with Ivan. And Ivan respects it.

The aftermath of Scene 16.
Andrew finds out about Ivan's suicide by the news. He doesn't know what to feel or do, but he goes to Ivan's house to comfort Ivan's mother. Andrew hates Ivan, not people associated with him. He goes on to confront Ivan's mother about what his son did by a letter, which at first is hesitant to send, but then again, people deserve to know the truth.
Andrew then tries to salvage the letter which Ivan had wrote for him, reading it one time just to understand how Ivan felt. And possibly for Andrew to fix up his own broken feelings about Ivan.
Andrew attends Ivan's funeral later on, and understands how Ivan felt after a mistake that could change his perception of Ivan's physical appearance forever.

Perhaps the world is just a little cruel? Just a little... too hasty? Too fast? To the point of hurting your chest for not being able to adapt quickly enough to avoid enough damage.
Ivan just wanted companionship. One person, just one, who would never leave him alone, never betray him, and who would always be by his side, supporting each other, regardless of what was happening, but clearly that's not what happened.
Ivan saw Andrew as that person, was willing to be there for him like never before, only to realize that, perhaps, it wasn't safe to be by his side, Andrew wasn't the person who could help him with his expectations, the same for Ivan from Andrew's point of view.
Andrew left, leaving him in that lifeless apartment, with no windows, just him and his demons, who came to haunt him every night, but unfortunately, after suffering so much from this anguish that spread throughout his body, consuming him completely, he couldn't resist.
One night, under the starry sky, she sent a single email to Andrew, out of consideration for her feelings for him and for all the time they had spent together...
"Andrew, I'm so sorry..."
