He looks remarkably human, even more-so now with his natural eye color and hurt shining in those dark irises. “Lance, I went on a date with you to get to know you. I had no hidden agenda, it was a normal date.”

But he was right. This was a lot of process.
Apparently it was a recessive gene that only 30% of the Galran population had. It was even rarer in Galran hybrids, with only 5% of all known beings with mixed Galran heritage carrying the trait.

About a year ago, Keith’s latent Galran DNA triggered a sort of second puberty. It was a common instance among various Galran hybrids as their DNA is typically dominant. However, due to the major changes a Galran puberty brings, most hybrid children experience a second puberty once their body is strong enough to survive the effects. All in all, he was still Keith, if only much bigger. Admittedly, he had initially been somewhat put off by it, but with a lot of support from his family he grew to embrace himself. Physically, he had adapted and even learned to like his new body.
