Summary
Eragon and Brom are captured by the Ra'zac. Eragon and Brom are rescued by a mysterious stranger. Brom receives a poison knife to his gut for his trouble.
In this story, however, Destiny decides to give its favorite tortured playthings a break—at least, until Brom wakes up and has to either explode from the multitude of secrets he's been keeping for over a century, or do the extremely scary smart thing and tell Selena's boys the truth.

Eragon doesn't grow up the same as the books. A bit of a rework if you will. Well, its completely different. There will be some similar situations, Eragon doesn't start out with the Varden. Eragon never got to know his own family, he was taken as an infant and raised in Uru'baen. His life was far from ideal and he has faced many struggles to get to where he is.
*Originally this was meant to be just changing Eragon's circumstances, but I have changed much of it including character ages and I've taken some other liberties. I hope you read and enjoy*
Revising first several chapters while continuing to update with new chapters.This story is now complete, but might have some revisions.

In the years of prosperity for the Dragon Riders, there was a people who allied themselves with the Alagaesian Rider's Order. Hailing from the far north, where is snows nine months of the year and hails the other three were the Nordics.
To Alagaesians, however, they were once called the Vikings.
Nordics had their own Dragon Riding Order, made u of hundreds if not thousands of dragon species each with an advantage of their own unique make against the Alagaesians. To keep the peace between the many species of dragons and the people of Alagaesia, they formed an alliance with Vrael and his Order, and thus it stood to reason that Galbatorix would kill them as well if they refused to join his cause. However, there was a mistake he had made- one Viking woman had escaped from the slaughter and went into hiding, birthing a daughter years later in a small mountain village, Carvahall.
This daughter is the rightful heir to the Nordic Rider Order.
