When Grog wakes up, he bangs his head on a low ceiling and see a tiny Gnome smiling at him, offering to heal him and thanking him for helping her grandfather. Grog doesn't belong with the Trickfoots, not with the blood on his hands, not with the injuries Kevdak inflicted, but Pike doesn't make fun of him for being weak and no one talks about abandoning him because he's hurt or weak, so he stays and tries to ignore the urge to go back, to fight, and to resume a nomadic life.
Pike helps, of course, because she's great like that. -
