He helps Percy finally let go of the ghosts of his family, and finds some peace along the way.-

“I did. It makes sense how I saw that. I think it was the Raven Queen’s doing, after I--well, after I gave myself to her. But why could you see her?”
“I don’t know,” Percy admits.
“You said something to me, once. When we were planning to kill the Briarwoods, after we’d found out that Cassandra was still alive. You told me you thought she hated you so much she couldn’t even be bothered to haunt you. Do you see other spirits? Spirits besides Vex’s?”
There is another silence that stretches miles between them before Percy answers.
“Yes. My family’s.” He waves his hand lazily at the area to Vax’s left. “They’re watching us right now. They’re always watching. Ever since the Briarwoods-- Since Ripley-- They appeared one by one. The twins first, then Ludwig, Vesper, my mother, my father, Julius. But never Cassandra.”
As Percy speaks, Vax glances over his shoulder toward where Percy had gestured.
To his shock, and awe, and just a touch of horror, with each name Percy speaks, a hazy, barely visible figure appears.
