“As far as being in the spirit goes…” Vex trailed off, rubbing Keyleth’s arms with her hands, trying to stimulate warmth to circulate in her flesh. “....Love, I totally understand. And trust me when I say that no one is going to force you to be in a way you’re really not. But, keeping that in mind as it were, we should always celebrate moments like these.”
Keyleth looked quizzically at Vex again, blinking as she followed along with what the ranger was saying.
“Moments where we’re all together, in one place. Moments that are meant to be joyful, because even if there is a bloody lot going on out there and with us, it’s especially why we should take the time to celebrate what we can. If not for the fact that we might not get another chance, then for the fact that the world is really grim right now, so we should take all the light we can get and be with it. For as long as we can. For as long as it will let us.”
OR
Keyleth doesn't feel very merry and bright, and Vex comes to the rescue.
