Summary
Blitzø knew there would be an adjustment period to Stolas moving in. Patience was never written into Blitzø’s DNA, and any he could have learned was swiftly beaten out of him by the world at large before he hit his twenties. It felt like, since the trial, all of his patience was being siphoned into Stolas because he needed it. Stolas, for his part, was growing weary of the endless patience and craved an ounce of something more from his partner, something less gentle, something less sweet.

Following the aftermath of Sinsmas, Stolas is left in the wake of every bad decision he had made up until that point, especially in the wake of how he hurt his daughter, and he had been waiting for a chance to make things right with her and to show her how much she means to him.
But when said chance arrives in the form of a military summons from Lucifer Morningstar for the Goetia to rescue Charlie Morningstar from Heaven, and the threat of his daughter being sent instead, there is nothing Stolas won't do to ensure that Octavia will not have to go in his place.
Now he needs to find the will to not only survive but live, for his daughter, for Blitz, and for everyone he has grown to call his family.
Meanwhile Octavia must grapple with complicated feelings of anger, confusion, and grief that came from her fallout with her father. But with the impending war against Heaven now in effect, Octavia will have to take control of her life sooner than later.
And Blitz is barely holding it together to help the man who has become the king of his heart and the girl who he loves like his own daughter even if she hates him.
Love doesn't conquer all but it's all they have left.

Not to mention the fact that there's a revolution brewing, his daughter is about to inherit his powers, and everybody at I.M.P. is still grappling with the fallout of what happened to them.
But Blitz is softer than he's ever been, taking care of his every need, sleeping at his side every night. It should be enough. It should be all he's ever dreamed it could be.

Blitz climbed the island that acted as the only table in the apartment, staring at Stolas. He looked like an overgrown domestic cat, tail whipping as he kneeled over all the paperwork.“Kiss.”
It wasn't a question. It was a demand, and Stolas was more than happy to oblige, smiling as Blitz's lips touched his. It was soft, softer than Blitz usually was. Unguarded, hopeful.
Maybe he could get used to it. Find happiness in that little existence they were building.

After all of that insanely good sex, and before he got to go back to keeping his business running, Blitzø had to put up with Stolas’ pillow talk. Some nights he was in a very clingy mood, curling his body up against Blitzø as if he wasn’t twice his size, petting at Blitzø’s skin and horns, going on about how “lovely” it was to see him. Other nights, though, Stolas just seemed to like the sound of his own voice. He would yap about anything and everything, from the stars to his plants to the plot lines of his favorite show.
One thing Blitzø would never admit in the light of day? He liked to listen.

Blitz looked over to where Stolas was standing in front of the coffee machine, pressing buttons from a foot away as if he thought they might electrocute him. He watched as the coffee poured out too quickly and the man scrambled to find a cup, letting all of the best brewed liquid swirl down into the waste tray and only catching the end of the cycle. He started to pour cold milk from the carton into the mug and then realised his mistake, turning instead to a jug of milk he had heated already and which probably now wasn’t much warmer than the milk from the fridge. The result, Blitz knew, would be a cold and watery coffee, much like the one sitting on the tray currently. Yeah, that was going to be a problem.
Just then Stolas looked up to see Blitz watching him and beamed, his face lighting up and a small blush dancing across his cheeks as he waved a hand that was covered in coffee grounds.
Yeah, that was going to be a problem too.
