Summary
Retellings (or expansion) on the Mass Effect Trilogy. I drop out some elements specific to video games--and keeping them challenging--and bring in new ones.
Heavily influenced in worldbuilding by things like Logical_Premise's dark military sci-fi and their excellent supporting tracts like "The Encylopedia Biotica" and their "Cerberus Files" detailing the other races from a threat-analysis perspective.
I can't go dark enough to write that verse -- gritty enough, yes -- because each race is so self-serving and humans are so autocratic, that I don't see anyone signing on to a shared government.
Besides that, I pull from psychotic-cat17 and RaeMDragon's Asari smut stories.
