Ceolbert tries to be the best son he can to his ailing father. He lives at home, on an estate far too large for just the two of them, and spends most of his time when he's not caretaking staring wistfully out of the window, dreaming of adventure beyond these walls.
Until, one morning, adventure rolls up to the front gates in the form of a crass, foul-mouthed stranger looking for work. Naturally, this Ivarr isn't quite what he seems at first glance -- but then again, neither is Ceolbert.
