The New Avengers find and old Flash Drive in the Avengers Tower. Bucky doesn't want them to open it- they do. It sets off a chain of events which could determine the fate of the universe.
Bucky, Yelena and Ava (with some help from others) are sent on a quest across time and the multiverse to stop the greatest threat since Thanos. Their only chance to save the universe might be saving their worst enemies.

The first time James Rhodes meets Tony Stark, Tony is a scrawny teenager, running across the lawn at campus, yelling curses, using a tea towel to try and trap a roomba-like contraption that is zigzagging wildly through the grass, until he trips over his own feet and faceplants. People laugh but Rhodey takes pity, so when the thing zooms towards him he lifts one foot and traps the robot underneath it. It beeps once and the wheels stop whirring.
Instead of thanking him, the teenager scrambles forward on hands and knees, glares up at him and says “well thanks you probably broke it, dumbass.” -

"What? What aren't you?" The hand that had moved his hair settles down on where his neck meets his shoulder. Gentle, barely there. Tony's thumb strokes at where his pulse is racing. He must feel it. Feel what he's doing by just... Just talking to Peter.
"I don't like... You know."
"Boys? Men?"
Peter nods. Tony makes a little ah sound. Like he completely understands. The hand never leaves the nape of his neck.
"Have you tried it, then?"
He gets closer, his cool breath trailing over Peter's cheek.
Tony's lips look so soft. Plush, and pink. Inviting in a way that Peter has never experienced before.
"Hm?" Tony's voice brings him out of his head.
"Huh?"
"Have you tried, baby? Ever kissed a guy?"
Or, Peter is sure he’s straight, Tony is going to prove him wrong. Naturally that leads to oral sex at a frat party.

Steve Rogers confronts Howard (cause Tesla knows he doesn’t act like her dad) one night in front of her job (and no she doesn’t swoon like a Disney Princess tyvm), and they start to become friends, and maybe even more.
Then Steve joins the army and everything changes.

“Followed the cab. Let’s go, we’re going home.” Bucky said as he grabbed a hold of Tony’s upper arm and dragged him over to the car. His relief had given way to anger, and he was trying not to take it out on Tony before they got back to the penthouse Tony kept in New York.

The money is good and Bucky doesn’t sleep much anyway so he can keep up with Tony’s partying ways while at college.
