Just a typical Valentine's Day for Cleggy and Compo, with the usual scrapes. Foggy's late for their meeting after getting stuck at Aunty Wainwright's, Howard's avoiding Pearl and tries to get Cleggy to deliver a box of chocolates to his beloved and Marina thinks they're from Cleggy. Compo comes to the rescue in the end, and he wants only one little thing in return from his pal.

Inspired by a recent episode I watched where Howard's in love, as usual, and even Smiler thinks he's in love, and Norman Clegg is absolutely sick of hearing about love. But he has his reasons. Wouldn't you be if you'd spent your life hiding away from the truth? If you weren't allowed to live your life the way that you wanted, with who you wanted to be with? Compo has known Cleggy's secret for some time now and wants him to know that it doesn't change his opinion of him - in fact, there could even be room for something to grow.
