Summary
A hardness overcame Seven then, the alloys in her spine chaining her fractured emotions back together in some grotesque distortion of what Janeway had always insisted they could be. Was this what it meant to be human?
-----
After Captain Janeway contracts an illness during an expedition to an uninhabited planet and orders USS Voyager to leave her behind, a certain hardheaded Astrometrics officer isn't so keen on abandoning her Captain. As Janeway and Seven learn to navigate the strange new dynamic forming between them, it becomes apparent that the planet they now call home has a much deeper story to tell--one that seems to defy logic, reality, and even the natural order of time itself.
-----
This is a standalone fic but can be read as additional worldbuilding to my "For the Optics" series. Timeline runs about a year prior to the events of "A Binding of Stars."

Summary
Michael had sat in the chair of the Shenzhou enough times to know the weight a ship could unleash upon a first officer. The gravity of that same ship on its Captain must feel like a black hole, and even though Michael knew Airiam would learn how to shoulder it in time, she could see the doubt in her every move, hear it in every faint trill and thrum. And Discovery was in no way gentle. She’d torn into every captain that had ever ventured to break her, tested and tried them, judged them then cast them aside. Inadequate. Incompetent. Imperfect.
-----
With the Federation scrutinizing her fiancée's every move, Michael Burnham fights to salvage Airiam's inaugural mission as Captain of the USS Discovery after a temporal crisis in the Delta Quadrant separates them from the Glenn and leaves them in search of the lost starship Voyager, an admiral, and a crew that won't exist for another 117 years.
Sequel to "The Resonance of Risk."
Some parts may be NSFW.

For the Optics by AdelineIserman

Summary
A reimagining of the Star Trek: Discovery series where Michael manages to save Airiam and they shack up, the Control plotline gets twisted into something more serious, and minor characters are not so minor. Serves as a prequel series to an upcoming Janeway/Seven Voyager fic I've been waiting to post.
Started out as an Airiam character study, and turned into...this.
Plot-heavy, with some occasional NSFW spicy time for us rarepair femslash shippers, for anyone who is mad at them for killing Airiam, or others who just want to dig into her canonically underdeveloped character. Or Nhan's, because she deserves some love too.

Summary
“You guys…you want to go back to Section 31 headquarters…scrounge around in the hopes of finding a functional, uncorrupted data console, hack it–no doubt that'll be my job, I'm sure–pull out the source code and try to…what…reanimate this thing? And then let it back into Airiam's head?” She was glancing at each of them as if she thought it was a joke. “On purpose?”
-----
When Michael and Captain Saru's shuttle goes missing, First Officer Airiam must confront all she has fought to keep at bay and earn back the trust of the crew as she takes command of Discovery to bring them home.
Or: Airiam has to work with Control.
Sequel to "Three Pounds of Latinum." Some parts may be NSFW.

Summary
“Airiam should have died on that station, Michael,” Spock said, his voice calm, factual. “Just as she should have died in the accident that made her what she is. Her very construction is experimental and, in itself, a risk. You should not expect to save her a third time.”
-----
As Michael and Airiam explore their new connection, Stamets and the crew detect a problem with the methods they used to save Discovery's Second Officer.
Sequel to "I Realized She Could Smile."

Summary
Control wins. Georgiou copes with the aftermath and tries to make the impossible choice.
***
“You don’t have to do this. I would’ve given you what you want.”“No, you won’t.” Not-Georgiou grins cruelly. Georgiou blinks at the uncanny details on the other woman’s face. And the abyss gazes right back to her, “you’ve grown soft.”

Airiam has had a hold on me ever since I watched "Project Daedulus". I've been wanting to make a video for her for so long but hadn't found the right song until Lana Del Rey's new album.
