Azura-9 was supposed to be just another charting mission. Christopher Pike can’t shake the feeling that something is watching them.
As strange energy readings mount and movement flickers just beyond sensor range, Pike finds himself drawing in ways he can’t explain. Something is alive in the clouds. Something ancient, dying and desperate.
The Elari have survived for eons by living in the stars. But now, they are caught in the radiation of collapsing white dwarves and their species is facing extinction. They can’t reproduce as they used to and need help, so they search for the right one.

Summary
An awards ceremony meant to honor the contributions of Enterprise/Discovery crewmen instead ends with their attempted assassinations. As two of the only command crew left functioning, Christine and Tyler decide to protect their injured friends by hauling them to Discovery and running. Una is made Enterprise's acting captain and sent to find them, with James Kirk assigned as her temporary first officer. It's Discovery vs Enterprise in a game of hide and seek where Spock, Michael, and Pike are the ones with the most to lose.
Sequel to Memorandum of Consequence and Implications of Austerity.
Kirk said, "I'm sure Nurse Chapel would be very grateful if you allowed Commander Chin-Riley's offer to beam over additional medical personnel, Lieutenant Tyler. Hasn't Miss Chapel been compliant with everything you've asked her to do?"
"What’s that supposed to mean?" Ash coldly returned.
"Aren't you in command of Discovery?"
Abruptly Christine understood what Una and Kirk thought was going on. "Actually, he's not." She strolled over to Discovery's command chair and sat down. With a smile, she added, "I am."

Summary
Matt Decker and Jim Kirk take on their first doomsday weapon as captain and first officer. The incident is but the first step in their two-pronged journey to their many meetings with the fates, as it complicates the family crises both men are facing. But the journey has barely started when they realize that more intriguing things are occurring behind closed doors, threatening to skewer both their careers.
"Suppose we all do exist in a universe like that," Decker said. "I suppose I'm grand admiral of some dreaded Imperial Starfleet. I suppose Will is wanted for piracy, and I suppose you...." He trailed off at once - he didn't want to finish that thought. "It's no good, Brandi. I hate letting anyone die, even on a dangerous mission. I never thought it'd be like this with your mother. But in that universe, I shudder to think of who and what she is. All I know is, she couldn't possibly be ours."

Doctor Leonard McCoy and Captain Christopher Pike both have their share of struggles. Their first meeting should have gone very differently than it did. McCoy was looking for one thing but ended up finding something completely unexpected. At their second meeting, Doctor McCoy saves Captain Pike's life, although Pike is unconscious at the time. By the time they meet on the Enterprise, they can't ignore the undeniable connection between them. Could it be a soul bond? As far as either of them knew, soul bonds weren't supposed to happen the way this one did.
After a while, they began to wonder if there was a larger conspiracy that was trying to keep them apart.

Summary
So we all know that in the original timeline Kirk doesn’t end up with La’an when all is said and done, and that she’s not on the Enterprise. But seeing that possible future La’an who serves on the Farragut at the end of S1, who is warm and open makes you wonder what happened to get them where they’ll be… and, where we know they won't be.
Picks up after Hegemony, with La’an once again captured by the Gorn. Starts with Kirk’s POV as things are broken off with Carol, and he tries to call her in his grief needing a distraction from his breakup. She doesn’t respond, and suddenly red alert hits and the Farragut warps to the aid of Enterprise and Cayuga. Kirk feels like a dick, but can’t dwell on it.
NOTE: Entirety of work written before author saw season 3. Final two chapters published on the day the season premiered (hey, can't say I didn't have a deadline!). Cannon compliant for TOS, movies (non-Kelvin timeline), and seasons 1 & 2 of SNW.
