Self-esteem is something that Sakura has grappled with for nearly her entire life. Even as a young child, she was always bigger than her peers. Too tall, or too muscular. Not enough of a girl to fit in with the others.
She feels that same sting of rejection now, as she stares at herself in the full-length mirror, knowing that her beautiful idol of a girlfriend is on the other side of the dressing curtain.

“You’re not far off on that one! Just call it the summer triangle.” Kaito nudges Gonta again with a grin, and it’s hard not to smile back. “That’s what they celebrate at tanabata. I’ll take ya sometime, even if you’ve been. It’d be different now, yeah?”
Yes, in a lot of ways, many of which make Gonta’s skin sort of crawl at the thought of going to a festival—but attending with Kaito would be nice. Gonta allows himself to enjoy the notion for a moment, not the notion of attending as a famous reality TV show star or a known killer, but rather a teenage boy with a friend, someone for whom backstory and memory aren’t complicated, for whom the biggest things he has to worry about are grades, or perhaps what he’s going to do when he gets older.

All the tables and chairs were pushed against the wall with a round table in the centre of it all. There were only four chairs available with an abundance of teasets and pastries so vast that it could satisfy a class of sixteen—seconds and thirds included. “Confused. And a little taken back.”

“Is that so?” Kirumi wouldn't consider themselves a maid. It does have a nice ring to it, hard to find any negative connotations to it. They would like to be a maid, they’ve spent most of their life caring for others and they enjoy doing so, however that title doesn't fit their current circumstance. A caretaker perhaps? No, that’s too close to saying they were Kaede’s babysitter, they’re merely assisting her in achieving her dreams.
Hm. Assistant sounds too…professional and business oriented. They’re travelling around Sinnoh, not handling sales at the department store. At a complete loss, Kirumi asks, “then what am I to you, then?”
