One of my favorite things about reading “The Book Thief” was seeing the world through Death’s eyes as an empathetic, almost poetic observer and this was the best replication of it I’ve read. Him and Vincent Van Gogh was such an interesting platonic pairing because I think he really is the only person that can see the world the way Death does. 10/10 I wish there were more fics like this (My curse if that I unfortunately always enter small fandoms lol)
