Mobius was a quiet country. Its allies were vast and its enemies close to none. Its queen was kind and raised her children to be humble, gracious rulers. Their life was peaceful, perfect. They had no reason to fight. They did not see a reason.
That was until their capital was attacked by Metropolis, a nearby Empire hellbent on taking over the world. The only member of the royal family able to escape was the eldest son and middle child, Sonic, along with the prince's personal guard and the apprentices of the Court Mage and Royal Blacksmith. The party of refugees is forced to seek asylum in the mysterious Black Comet, a kingdom hidden in a vast mountain range and said to be ruled by a king killer.
All they can do is hope the shadowy hedgehog that sits on the throne will show mercy and be the key to getting their kingdom back.

He did so much to keep them from ever coming back from walking on the threads of time to blasting them out with the Eclipse Cannon, so when a few manages to slip away he became hellbent on getting rid of them. However, things have changed. It appears Sonic has found and taken in the hybrid hell-spawn: The Dark Arms, but that's not all that has him so on edge.

The redhead hissed in a breath. “Oh, you temptress.”
“I may even make it for you anyway. I know this is a big ask.”
“Yeah, but you’re right,” Callie said, glancing over to where Dread and Ren were starting to throw hands. “He’s in rare form today. Maybe a change of scenery will help.”
“Thanks, Cal.”
“Yeah, yeah.” She pushed herself away from the counter, clapping her hands as she walked closer to the two fighting echidna. “Break it up, boys! Dread, you’re coming with me. We’re going on a field trip.”

Eclipse doesn’t remember much. Most of his memories are either from lightyears ago or however long he spent trapped in this dark place. He started out with simple plans, trying to map out strategies and tactics into the wall, chipping away at stone until something formed from beneath his claws—but after a while he gave up hope. His claws are blunt now, itchy and messy and uncomfortable. He wants to go home.
He wants to be buried next to the rest of his brothers.
At least then he wouldn’t be alone anymore.
